Earlier this year I had the great pleasure of working with The Big Fake Wedding during their stop in Nashville. Unfamiliar with the concept? It’s a bridal show alternative complete with an emotional vow renewal ceremony, food, drinks, and a dance-party reception.
Although this is my first year contributing as a vendor, this isn't my first time attending the event. My husband and I went while we were engaged to get ideas for our wedding, and I'm not ashamed to say that I've been every year since just because it's such a fun event. If you haven’t had a chance, definitely check it out next year to see wedding vendors in action.
I was given the task of dressing the bride in a custom elleNelle Bridal gown. The wedding was gemstone themed, and the bride was to be lively and feminine. I decided to do something a little different by dressing her in separates; a bodysuit and skirt. The bishop sleeve bodysuit was composed of mesh and beaded lace appliques strategically placed to create a beautiful design. The lined crepe skirt had a flattering mermaid silhouette with an exaggerated flounce hem.
